Broncos vs Chargers

After the bye, bye-bye...

  1. NFL.com has a story speculating Kubes may consider taking a job as the Broncos OC. Hmmm, tie that into the talk of bringing in Harbaugh as HC and it all fits. Get a good DC and ST coach and we could see a huge coaching improvement.

  2. Zip on our 2nd series... we're lulling them into thinking they're winning!

  3. Can't get off the field on 3rd and long.

  4. Our D is looking like the keystone cops doing a Chinese fire drill.

  5. Another drive & 3 by LAC 6-0... and we continue to give up 3rds and long.

    1. Why was Woods considered too important to let walk? He has better talent than Wade had but makes them look like clowns.

    1. All set up by a fake punt by Wadman - who looks like a better passer than Keenum!

  7. Digger, looks like you and me this week... can hardly blame the other guys.

  8. CHJr steals one! Nice pick, good pressure to force it.

    1. We're in FG range already... now if CK can not toss an INT.

  9. VJina sends Lindsay up the middle on 4th an1/2? Or was that Must-grave us?

    1. We sure can't call a decent play when it counts. Coaching sucks.

    2. Love Lindsey you know but man what a dumb call

  10. Give up another huge gain on 3rd and 7

  11. Vance is such a poo coach, why not kick 3? Take the points, chargers got all the momentum back now.

  12. Keenum can NOT pass.. that is when he's not holding it forever. If he is our starting QB next year we may wind up with the #1 2020 draft pick... ummm wait, START KEENUM, START KEENUM, START KEENUM!

  13. Chubb picks up #9 to close the half.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Chargers up the two field goals that we should have attempted.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Welp, we're only down by 6 on the scoreboard but LAC is killing us in every stat except penalties - and we're working on that.

    ReplyDelete
  16. TD Gates.. the old man is too much for our youngsters. 19-7 LAC

    1. I'm beginning to hope we don't win again this season... call me a traitor but it's about the best outcome we could have at this point. High draft picks plus VJina assured of being ran out of town and likely unemployed in 2019.

    1. Why didn't they use Royce on those earlier 4th and shorts? Because Must-grave and VJina are football dumb-asses!

    2. Watch Rivers march down and negate our TD.

      Delete
    3. Whoa, we stopped them... not like Woods team.

      Delete
    4. I will say our players still have fight in them - no thanks to the coaching.

  18. Keeping it close. Need a score here.

    1. His big knees were down before the ball got there. If only that girth was on his neck.

      Delete
  20. Lindsay picks up 1st... 1st & goal _ TD lindsay! we take the lead 20-19.. Kareenum falls short on the 2pt conversion... if his 1" neck was just 1" longer...

    ReplyDelete
  21. If we lose because they didn't review that 2-point conversion I'm going to be pissed

    ReplyDelete
  22. Seems we are playing prevent too....

    1. Woods sucks as bad as VJina. We got a Wood sucker and a VJina sucker.

  23. Thankfully the review is out of VJina's hands...

    1. I don't think Sanders had possession. Only 1 step.

    2. Won't matter cause CK won't make the 1st.

  24. Kareenum can NOT pass - he is soooo lousy

    1. He holds the ball like it's the last dollar in the world.

    2. It's not forgetting, hell even the annoucer said to keep an eye on Gates. It's Woods calling poor D.

  28. What is worse we would be tied up if it wasn't for VJ.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think it's over now. Even if we stopped them and they punt, we can't get into field-goal range in time.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1:51 left and my money says Kareenum can't do it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Now lets not huddle and waste clock like last time.

    ReplyDelete
  32. WHAT??????? PI on US????? HELL NO!

    ReplyDelete
  33. McMoney wins it for us 23-22! Great game despite some pure shit calls and coaching.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't believe it. They won. Yeehaw

  35. What a game, so sloppy, so wrong, so right in the end!

    1. That was one of the most tense games I have watched. So much bad coaching. So many bad calls.

  36. Oline played really well today. Case had a great 4th quarter too.

Way to win in spite of our Coach and Refs.

    1. Who would have thunk that. They get Bowser back, we lose another old line pro bowler and the old line plays better than it ever has all year.

  37. That PI on Patrick was so obviously wrong. Was it Patrick, I've lost my mind and can't remember.

    1. Finally, a game that goes our way despite all the bad shit. CK made some good throws at the end but he's still shit overall. I'll give him credit for getting us there at the end but dude, he needs to do that for 4 qtrs, not just the last couple of minutes.

      Delete
    2. Amen. Needed that luck to change over the bye.

  38. I thought for sure that the way our season has been going, McManus was going to miss after the time out.

    1. Same. But he has been really good in that range. Was good to be aggressive at the end vs what we did in Houston.

    2. Yup, everyone around me is glad we won... it makes a difference on my outlook for the week.

  40. A whole lot of tight wins this week around the NFL.

  41. Not really sure how the hell we won this game since I didn’t get a chance to see it. Last score I saw was 20-7 and we didn’t look like we were doing very well offensively.

I opened my Bleacher report app to see how badly we got beat and I had to rub my eyes a few times to make sure I was seeing things right.

    ReplyDelete
  42. somehow the Raiders won a game. I know the Cardinals are bad but Oakland is just a disaster. Arizona actually is in line for the first pick in the draft now.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Two stats from yesterday's win. 1) the LAC game was VJina's FIRST road win in his 2 years as the Broncos HC 2) Kareenum had just 59 passing yards going into the 4th quarter... yet wound up with 205yds. To his credit (bonus stat), this was only the 2nd game this year that Kareenum hasn't thrown an INT - the other was against HOU making it 2 games in a row without an INT... he's on a fucking streak!

On a hopeful note, if we can pull a win out next week against PIT, we have a 50/50 chance of winning out after the bye with CIN, SF, CLE, LAR and LAC remaining. On the flip side, we could also win just enough to screw our chances of getting a high enough draft position to snag a halfway decent QB out of a lousy QB class. As always, we can always hang onto the dream of finding a diamond in the rough or grabbing another cast off from this year's junk pile who has just enough left to make us respectable for the short term. Kinda makes it hard to know which way to root for. Screw it, GO BRONCOS and let the chips fall into Elway's lap to make or break us going forward.

    1. He had a pick, was called back on a penalty though.

We going to draft defensive talent.

      Delete
    2. Yes, I remember that one, he did have a pick but I think he also saw the D-holding penalty and knew he had a free throw. He just chucked it long and if completed to our guy (wasn't it Sanders?) we could have declined the penalty for a big gain.

    3. Agreed, except it was overthrown by 10 yards lol.

  44. anyone else see the report Tubes is looking to become an OC again? I have a feeling if that is true, he will be our OC again.

  45. The good thing about having a sucky offensive line is that when they go down, there is no dropoff. I think the 3 that played OL in the interior yesterday was the best combination and effort for the past few years.

  46. Great flag football game going on tonight.

  48. Pacman Jones tweeting he thinks he's done in Denver. Guess we're ready to cut him if we haven't already. Pardon me while I rub some salt in my eyes to try to squeeze out a tear. Naw, not worth it. Say hi to everyone at SHOTGUN WILLY'S for me Packy!
