  1. I am actually rooting for Oakland to knock off the Ravens, with slim playoff hopes still alive for us.

  2. If we play like we can, we can win this game today. We can’t have dumb ass penalties, have poor turnovers, and play shitty defense against a good offense.

  3. Brad I know most people visit the site on their phones, but while you have time could you at least put this year's schedule up?

    1. When was the last time we scored on our 1st series? Have we done it this year? Seems like not.

  5. We block their FGA, we get the ball somewhere on our 30s.

  6. With Keenum? Ya, something might happen, not good.

  10. Pit back well in FG range - can we hold em to just that?

  12. Looks like just me and you again Brad... we gotta stop meeting like this.

    ReplyDelete
  13. after shutting them down on two attempts at scoring, we need to put 7 on the board here

    ReplyDelete
  14. Keenum off target again... his accuracy is weak at best. Oh well, it is what it is for now. Hope we get a real QB in the off season.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yup, lots of shitty throws with a sprinkle of good ones.

    ReplyDelete
  16. rolls royce in the game a little bit

    ReplyDelete
  17. touching him would be frowned upon. I prefer hitting or sacking

    ReplyDelete
  18. gotta keep them out of the endzone here

    ReplyDelete
  19. lets block this FG and go i to the half up 10-3

    ReplyDelete
  20. Looks like they'll go for 3 to make it 10-6.. IF they make it!

    1. Sorta, I wrote during the timeout.

  22. Welp, this could be a down to the wire, whoever gets the last possession game.

  24. that hurt with them getting the ball to start the second half

    ReplyDelete
  25. Stop them 3 & out on 1st drive of 2nd half

    ReplyDelete
  26. 6 qtrs without a sack on Kee... working on 7.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Did that suck or what? 17-10 Pit - Roby beat - just missed the sack by Harris

    ReplyDelete
  28. 3 & out for us, Keenum still off target.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why do we look so blah each and every week? Reminds me of Tebow days with 3.5 qtrs of boredom with some last minute wins.

    ReplyDelete
  30. They ran our legs numb with passes now they're pounding us with runs.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Kee needs to step up and tie it here.

    2. LOL! Harris looked surprised the ball came right to him.

  32. we have gotten lucky a few times on those dropped balls

    ReplyDelete
  33. Pit down to 1 TO, we still have 3.

    ReplyDelete
  34. stopped em. we will get the ball back

    ReplyDelete
  35. i dont like the bomb though on 2nd and long down that close to our own endzone. now we punt and give them a short field

    ReplyDelete
  36. big play bu Pittsburgh following the sack and we strip it and recover. Bronco ball!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Tight game. We need a score on that fumble.

    ReplyDelete
  38. yeah we do. And not just 3. We need 7. They come back too easily and we haven’t blanketed a receiver all day.

    ReplyDelete
  39. we need to make them play catch up. Head Case can’t do it. Make Ben have to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. running the ball well here. time for a play action pass

    ReplyDelete
  41. need 7 on this drive. Keep running clock and get a TD

    ReplyDelete
  42. ran 6 minutes off the clock and got 7 pts

    ReplyDelete
  43. we need to play some damn defense now for a change

    ReplyDelete
  44. forced a punt. lets get another TD

    ReplyDelete
  45. We got the lead and the ball with about 7? to go - or is it 5+?

    ReplyDelete
  46. lets run 4-5 minutes off the clock and put up 7.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Lindsay with a good run on first down

    ReplyDelete
  48. and a sack on 3rd down. Vintage Case

    ReplyDelete
  49. only positive thing about that was it took more time off the clock

    ReplyDelete
  50. damn they have a short field. Gotta play some defense

    ReplyDelete
  51. Watch us play soft on pass and get eaten.

    ReplyDelete
  52. and then we let Ben run almost for a TD

    ReplyDelete
  53. played shitty on defense but we made some big plays when we had to

    ReplyDelete
  54. We're almost at .500, we have life!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yup, only one sack. We need more from Von and Chubb, but to be honest, Pit probably has the best OL in the league.

    ReplyDelete
  56. we had two sacks. One by shaq and one by von

    1. I don't remember, thought Shaq got close but didn't get there. I'm probably wrong - bad nerves LOL!

      Delete
    2. he got close a few times but he did eventually get him.

      Delete
  57. we need some help playoff wise but we have life and we have an easier schedule. It isn’t easy by any means but its manageable. If we play reasonaly mistake free like we did today, we have a chance. I think this is the third game in a row that Case hasn’t turned the ball over.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Haha. Fun reading you guys take on the game.

Next up @ Cincy with Dalton and Green hurting. They get very little pressure on opposing QBs. Sounds like we got a chance. Cincy is travelling east though. You know I hate that.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am not making a case for Case by any means. I think he is average at best and often makes poor reads. Some of it is poor play calling, like on third down and short when we send everyone deep and leave one guy underneath who is covered and we get sacked, throw it low and uncatchable or throw an INT. He is often slow to read coverages, misses open receivers and takes untimely sacks.

But, I will say Minnesota hasn’t realized any better return on their massive $30 million a year investment in Cousins, sitting at 5-4-1. They have actually taken a huge step backward.

I wouldn’t have wanted to spend that kind of money on him. I am still struggling with the idea of not taking a QB this year. I know we wouldn’t have Chubb, but I still think when there are deep QB classes and you have a chance to get NFL ready caliber QB’s you have to take one.

    ReplyDelete
  60. as much as i would love to win each week, it would mean another year of Vance Joseph and Joe Woods. I can’t stand either of them. Watching Joseph’s reactions on the sidelines when stuff goes wrong is like watching Wade Phillips when he was a head coach. I just picture him saying “ Oh gosh darnit. We will get em next time!”

or “What the hell was I thinking taking a head coaching job? I have no damn clue what i am doing out here.”

  61. Ok guys, schedule is finally updated. Sorry for the delay.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Chargers RB Melvin Gordon suffered an MCL injury today. Not known yet if its a sprain or a tear (although a sprain is a tear).

    ReplyDelete
  63. Jeff Heuerman out for the season with broken ribs and bruised lungs. Shaq Barrett out 3-4 weeks with a hip flexor. The injury bug keeps landing in Denver, but the bright side is our youth will get lots of battle testing and we will come out stronger for years to come when that bug is visiting other opponents.

    1. Wow, that's a tough blow. LaCoste will have to step up.

    2. Andy Dalton placed on IR... let's see, who do we play next? I'll just check Brad's timely schedule he put up... LOL! Thanks Brad, I can quickly now see that, lo and behold, it's the Bengals! Guess that injury bug reads the schedules? On a related not, Brock may be out too with bruised ribs. Shane Ray will fill for Shaq and Parker will fill for Heuey... we got Temarrick Hemingway (TE) on PS who may get called up and Colts TE went on IR too with Cards just signed a TE off waivers... TE market getting tight LOL... get it? TE market getting tight, man I crack me up!

    3. Note not "not"...Who's there? LOL, I do crack me up!

  64. Sorry i missed blogging the game with you guys, but I can't get my phone to sign into blogger! I was on the road for thanksgiving and got home earlier today.

What a game!! I gave us no chance before the game. I was at my father in laws place in Central Ill and he only gets 6 cable channels. I didn't know there was a cable package that basic! Needless to say, none of them carried the Broncos game. So I read your comments to keep up with what was going on during the game.

    Thanks!!

  65. Same I was on the road for work. Solid win and we get the Bengals while their are hurting.

I'll give Vance a little credit. Our team has been grinding all year and playing with a lot of heart. That is a good reflection on coaching. Also our D has been better since there was mention of Vance getting more involved with them (saw it Sunday with Vance and Woods talking on the sidelines a lot).

Though our football IQ and game management still lacking and our coordinates still seem to struggle. Plus Vance's faces on the big screen annoy me like 1st.

So finally seeing some Pros after it has been mostly Cons from the coaching. Do we think we can have Vance learn on the job for another year? I don't know what Elway is scheming....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No idea if Vance is capable of learning or if Elway is planning to switch again this offseason. I do know our schedule is one of the easiest through the rest of the season. Bodes well for us making a run. Whether it's enough for Vance to keep his job, IDK. I say, no playoffs, goodbye.

  66. I'm going to give Vance some credit for keeping the team together and playing hard. I think when the GM hires a HC with no head coaching experience and very little coordinator experience, that you have to expect some growing pains. Otherwise maybe the demand to fire the coach should be changed to fire the GM.

    1. Without JE, we'd have 0 SB wins. VJina, 10-17 record, Case 5-6 so far... Tebow did better, Siemian did better, PFM did better, Kubiak did better, Fox did better - shit, even McDope and Orton did better! Both VJina and Kee have the opportunity to improve their records with 5 games remaining. Let's see what happens. I'm rooting for the Broncos to win, no matter who the leaders are. If change improves our wins, I'm all for it, if not, more change is needed... no one is exempt.

      Delete
    2. remind me who hired VJ and signed Case.

      Delete
    3. Isn't Elways record with VJ and Case the same as VJ's and Case's record here? My point is that everyone wants VJ out but don't dare criticize the GM that hired him.

      Delete
    4. Yes, JE hired them, he's not infallible and it is up to him to make corrections when he makes a mistake. Je has not escaped criticism, on here or anywhere else that I've read articles on the subject. But the overall record of both VJ (10-17 Den) and CK (25-24 overall, 5-6 in Den) isn't anywhere near the winning record of JE who's record in the front office is 77-41. JE has made far more good signings than bad - including HCs. JE has to decide to keep or fire VJ. If he keeps VJ and it turns out to be great, that's another plus for JE. If VJ and the Broncos have another losing season, then it's a minus for JE. Bottom line, I'm for the Broncos as I stated before. IMO, VJ isn't a viable HC at this point and CK isn't a franchise quality QB. Both are problems JE must address, not me or anyone else. Right now I'm satisfied with JE's decisions. For the most part they've been good with some stinkers in there.

  67. Kareem Hunt released from KC due to the video of him shoving and kicking a woman. Too bad we're already done playing them this year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Technically he was released for lying to the team officials about what happened. The incident happened last February but the video was just released today. Hunt was released 5 hours after the vid came out. Hahaha!

      Delete
  68. So awesome. This will hurt them on the field but was certainly the right thing to do.

    1. The should also release Tyrek Hill who beat his pregnant girlfriend in college. Oh, wait, no video. Such a hypocritical league.

  69. Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing well. I have been going through a separation with wife for the past two months and haven't been dealing with it very well, so I'm sorry I haven't been on much.
