Offseason Changes
No matter the label you want to put on it, we are in the offseason and we need big changes! Here we go!
Now that Brad finally got the 2018 schedule up we are moving on to 2019. My wishes; Keenum gone. I saw enough. No better than Siemian. Let our FAs walk and replace them with youth. If they are young, look at re-signing them. Buy young CB, NT, OL and QB. Draft CBs, QB, NT, ILB and OL.
As much as I hate to say this Go Patriots. Also going for Saints.
Fixed for this year but not next year(see #4 below);
1) Six games against divisional opponents — two games per team, one at home and one on the road. 2) Four games against teams from a division within its conference — two games at home and two on the road. 3) Four games against teams from a division in the other conference— two games at home and two on the road. 4) Two games against teams from the two remaining divisions in its own conference — one game at home and one on the road. Matchups are based on division ranking from the previous season.
I always thought that your record played a part in who you played against? For instance, if our conference opponents (say it's AFCE) NE would face our (AFCW) #1 KC while we (#3 DEN) would face (#3 BUF). I could be wrong, they may have changed how it's figured. Whatever - doesn't matter, if it changes nothing then okay, I still don't want fucking Brady and the Patsies to win! LOL! I simply can't stand the Pats.
You are exactly right but only the regular season record determines the next year opponents. That is why every year after week 17, the opponents are known for each team for the next year, just not the dates. Nothink has changed in this format for quite a few years. Next year the Chiefs will play the AFC East #1 (NE) and the AFC North #1 (Baltimore). And the Broncos will play the #3 from each of these divisions. But again, all of this is base on regular season games.
Postseason has an impact on the seeding for the draft for the next year, but not on scheduling.
Hopefully the Super Bowl will be as good as the Championship games. Now that the Chiefs are goners, I will root for the Rams. Kinda like Denver Broncos West, with Wade, CJ and Talib.
Did you hear that CJ told a Denver reporter after the game "Call Elway and tell him I said ha ha!"
49ers declined NT Earl Mitchell's 2019 option, making him a free agent.
Mitchell was due non-guaranteed $2.85 million salaries in 2019 and 2020 but will not be getting them. The 31-year-old will be a free agent after the Super Bowl, giving him a chance to latch on with another team before the rest of the free-agent group is available to sign in mid-March.
Haskins, Lock, Jones and Murray appear to be the consensus top 4 QBs along with a few others who could move up. With 2-3 teams ahead of us likely grabbing a QB, we will certainly land one of those 4 - if we like the one/s who fall to us. We may even trade up if there is one we rally like. Most mocks have the NYG taking the 1st QB with JAX taking the 2nd and the Broncos landing the 3rd. Jax may decide to stick with Bortles for 2019 and wait till 2020 to grab another QB which would give us the 2nd QB picked in this draft. And who knows, NYG may decide that Eli will serve them this year and they could wait til 2020 to draft a QB. NYG's coach Schumur has a QB son in this year's draft... would they dare take him at a lower rd and go for another QB in 2020? There's gonna be all kinds of speculation and QBs moving up and down boards so at this time, it's hard to say who we'll draft at QB or IF we draft one at all this year. I like Lock too and Jones and Haskins and Murray - heck, there's even a couple of others I'd be curious about. It's gonna be fun to see what we do... unless we decide to stand pat with Kee and some scrap heap journeyman - that would be a let down - especially if the new coaches get us enough more wins that we wind up drafting in the 20's in 2020... instant slow death and hoping for another PFM miracle to land in our laps. YUCK!
So it's Murray or Keenum for you? What if Murray is gone? Then we are stuck with Kee or some other scrap heap cast-off. If we wind up 10-6 or 11-5 due to better coaching and get luck, that would put us in the 20's draft slot for 2020. That means we'd have to sell the farm or take whatever is leftover after the cream of the class has been skimmed. I'd rather go with the best QB pick we can make this year and if that doesn't work out, we still have the sell the farm option for 2020's draft.
Don't forget that the Giants actually did draft a quarterback last year. the guy from Washington State. Also it seems to me that Jacksonville is freeing up money to go for a free agent quarterback. Probably Nick Foles. I'm sure some teams that are in need of drafting a quarterback we'll move up in front of us though.
Are you thinking of Kyle Lauletta from Richmond? NY drafted him in the 4th - I don't know if they consider him the heir apparent to Eli. Jax could go after a FA like Foles or whoever else comes available but they'll also be thinking future and like the Broncos, may think their draft position (7th) may be better this year than in 2020 to go after a QB. It's hard to figure what teams will do - guess we'll find out in a few months... lots can change between now and then.
Kiszla is pounding all of this years' QBs over at the post. Doesn't like any of them and thinks Elway shouldn't waste a 1st round pick on any of them. Broncos first pick (this is my opinion, not Kiszla) will be a defensive pick with Fangio coaching the team.
My understanding of Lauletta and the Giants is that he did not wow them in training camp or preseason. And then he got in legal trouble when he almost ran over a police officer.
With Jags getting Defilippo everyone thinks they will get Foles (since they worked together at the Eagles).
If that is the case then after the Giants we will get the pick of the QBs. Only have to worry about the Fins and Washington moving up but that is a decent move for both of them.
Dark horse would be the Raiders taking a QB.
So if Haskins goes to the Giants we can have either Murray, Jones or Lock.
From what I have seen all the qbs had a solid day but Jackson and Finley had the most wow plays for me. I’d be interested in adding Jackson on day 3 to go with whoever we draft in round one. Hedge our bets.
Pundits are saying Drew Lock and Jarrett Stidham were the 2 winners of the QBs - some saying Lock would be a top 10 pick and someone the Broncos or Jags might go after.
Why are we always so transparent? Obviously we're interested in Lock. It seemed like a lock that we could get Lock at number 10. in fact it seemed like we were overdrafting him at number 10.
Just read a report that says Elway is “smitten” with Lock. Right now my hope is someone takes him before us. I might change my mind before th e draft, but right now I’d rather take beat player available at 10. Elway doesn’t have such a good track record with picks he falls in love with before the draft.
My comment could have been worded better. I was more referring to his record with QBs he has fallen in love with. Although I'm sure there are probably QBs he liked better that he didn't get, which was your point.
He is Elway and them is players he fell in love with. It always becomes so apparent who we want. And by the time the draft finally comes around we have to think about trading up for them. McCaffrey is a good example of that.
Thanks, it makes sense now... guess my old age is making me a little thick. I agree that we always appear to telegraph who we want in drafts but it also seems like we wind up with draftees nobody expected. I gave up long ago trying to figure the moves we make - I just keep my fingers crossed and wait to see who they are.
Well I'll be happy with one of the top two offensive tackles or one of the top cornerbacks at number 10. Don't trade down don't trade up don't screw around with it. We can get a really solid player at number 10.
I would trade up for Murray or take him at 10 if he is there, but I don't think he is the type of QB Elway likes, probably too good for Elway's liking. So absent that, I agree, let's stay at 10.
I hope Murray does everything at the combine unlike what Lamar did last year. Otherwise I think he will go late first like Lamar did. Someone like the Pats take a risk on him at 31-32.
This name surfaced a few days ago, and now happening. Confirming Broncos are interviewing T.C. McCartney for CU QB Sal Aunese and grandson of coach Bill McCartney. He played at Fairview. Went to LSU.
As I first reported T.C. McCartney interviewed with Broncos today for the QB coach position and I can now report they have reached agreement. Also: Rob Calabrese will become Broncos offensive assistant. He was Rich Scangarello's RB coach at Wagner and replaced him as OC.
There will be one of the top QBs in this draft available to us at 10. With this years caliber of QBs to draft, seems like that is analogous with being the tallest midget in the circus. I've said this s few times, I know, but i'd like to us go best man available and stay at 10.
I'm kind of mixed on Murray. Good that he is gong to the NFL and it would be great if the Broncos got him, but I see him as a several year project before he is starter material. Clearly has talent, but not much experience at all. It will be interesting to see what his actual height is when they measure him at the combine. I'm probably less concerned with his height than many, but he is a shorty.
That is another good step for Murray, already reports Giants won’t take him.
I’m not worried about his height, I’m worried about his thickness and arm length. Though I watched an interview with him and TD. Sitting next to TD he didn’t look that small, he has a big head.
I won't object to Murray but I'm not thrilled with him. He is small and he does not have much college time at the QB position - and that was in a weak defensive conference as well. He doesn't strike me as a particularly bright kid when I hear him speak - but of course that doesn't necessarily translate to on the field performance. I have heard at least one talking head state that Kyler and Haskins are the only 2 1st round worthy QBs in this year's draft (I disagree with that). I do wish Murray all the best no matter who drafts him but I don't see him as the next Mahomes and I wouldn't be disappointed (maybe relieved) if we don't draft him.
Thing is, JE has gotten snake bit on Paxton Lynch, a 1st rounder (3rd QB taken, 26th overall) who he traded up 5 spots for and gave up a 3rd to do so. Fail. Before that, a 2nd rounder in Os of who not much was expected by most fans, only the hope that being PFM's BU might somehow rub some greatness off on him. Fail.
The other 2 QBs, Siemien and Kelly were both 7th round shots in the dark that nobody figured would ever start. In that context, Trevor was a bargain as a 2 year starter and Kelly, (last player drafted) was a zero loss deal, no different than signing an undrafted player.
But I digress, warranted or not, JE now is charged with being a terrible GM for not having selected a franchise QB in Pax or BO and thus, if he fails to find one in this year's highly criticized "worst QB class in years" crop of labeled future "backups at best" and "loser" QBs, then we must fire JE and start all over - at least that's what the short term thinkers are spouting. So... with that kinda pressure, I'd say Elway would be quite the gambler to bet the ranch on a 5'8" to 5'11" (from different sources but 5'9 7/8" is what his school coach says) QB who may have to hop on the center's back to survey the field. Like I said, I'll be fine with Elway's decision no matter what direction he goes (well, maybe NOT) but I'd feel safer with Drew Lock with a year on the bench behind Case Keenum. But of course if Murray becomes the next Drew Brees, then I'll deny everything and claim I always wanted him... LOL! We've got a long wait to chew on it before the draft so save the poo throwing until the last week at least!
If he does not take Murray, then I hope he does not take a QB at 10. I don't really like the other QBs this year. We are stuck with Keenum for 2019, so wait a year or 2 and build up the other areas of the team.
If we don't go the QB route this year, I'm okay with that but we gotta look at the position in some form, even as a backup for 2019 and beyond. So far we have Keenum, Kevin Hogan as BU and Garrett Grayson on PS. That barely qualifies for Alliance Of American Football material.
Does this mean that they cut Keenum and save some cash and cap but still take a $10M cap hit???? Other teams must be laughing at Elway. Like Seattle which got draft picks from the Broncos in the Paxton Lynch fiasco and then signed him as a back up without having to give up anything. So they got our picks and Lynch.
Reports are that it is our early 4th round pick in exchange for Flacco.
It is also being reported we will shop Keenum. Does Elway actually think they will get anything for Keenum? If he does, it will probably be a few baseball cards, a sack of marbles, and Petey, the dead bird with his head taped back on from dumb and Dumber.
Flacco for a 4th is a decent price and we had two 4ths after the DT trade. Flacco is a slight improvement over Case, he is more talented. But Case is way more durable and Flacco's body is cooked. If we get 10 games out of Flacco I will be impressed.
Will have to wait and see what his contract is but a rework is a good sign.
Also think we could probably get a 6th or 7th for Case easy if he reworks his contract too. I think Washington would be the spot for Case depending on how they feel about Smith. If they think he will be back in a year, having Case for a stop gap is a good fit. Hammer AP and use play-action works to Case's strengths.
LOL! Ya, somebody hold our beer while we bag another Lombardi. Vegas also has us as way distant contenders to draft Murray - I think they had something like 12 or more teams who would be more odds on likely to draft him before we did. We've still got a long way before the draft and lotsa stuff can happen... who knows, could be Flacco is just smoke for our real intentions... anything is possible at this point and after 2 losing and one 9-7 season after winning the SB, I'd say JE is going for broke.
Not surprised here, I figured we'd go after Flacco or Manning. As I said in my last post about our QB position; "we gotta look at the position in some form, even as a backup for 2019 and beyond". I agree with Gould too, that we will still go for a QB at #10 this year. Whoever we draft at QB won't be "starter ready" their first season so we'll need a short term fill-in and mentor. I have a feeling there will be more to come, we aren't done at QB yet.
I'd rather have a former SB winner, pro-bowler and long term starter as a backup and mentor to whatever rookie QB we take than a guy like Case.
Flacco fits for a number of reasons. But best of all it gives us flexibility. Can take a Qb that falls to us at 10, or take BPA and a QB in later rounds, or trade down and load up picks for 2020.
I agree with your thinking there, the flexibility is key - there are a few lower round prospects that may have molding potential... or if someone we like is there at #10... who knows, but ya, flexibility.
Flacco has never played in a Pro Bowl and his career numbers are basically the same as Keenum's. He has been getting banged up and we better hope that Digger is right and that our OL issues are solved with Munchak.
Flacco won a SB and was the MVP in it... Pro Bowl is just a flash - most players who make it do so on past rep, not actually deserving it. Oh and Keenum has never made the Pro Bowl.
No one ever said Keenum played in a Pro Bowl. I'm not a Keenum fan. Elway signed him, not me. I was just pointing out that Flacco never played in Pro Bowl as was erroneously reported above. Just trying to keep everything factual.
Case hasn't had anywhere near the starts (54) as Joe (163) meaning Kee's one good season has skewed the hell out of his stats - to the plus side. We're talking a career starter (Joe) vs a career backup (Case). As for age, it's only 3 years difference which for all intents means zip since neither QB is slotted as our long term solution at the position. Joe has also been to the playoffs 6 times, starting 15 games to Case's 2 games and 2 starts... plus Flacco has won a SB and was the MVP in it. Really, there is no comparison, Flacco is a much better QB and for $1.5M less than Kee, he's a deal. As for the dead money, that's a maybe since we may trade Kee or restructure his contract for much less $$ if he wants to stay on as the backup (like he has been his entire career). That all remains to be decided. As for getting banged up, yep, he has more scars but so does Brady... it comes with starts. Of course Joe is no Brady by any stretch, he's just better than Keenum and less money (-$1.5M less).
I see where you were correcting Gould about the Pro Bowl and yer right, Joe never went to a PB but he was selected MVP to a SB that his team won. LOL! Sorry, I forgot you were putting down Elway and not Flacco. You could be right, this may be a move that sinks JE's ship - or it may be a stroke of genius. Lots of moves left to make this year alone and then they have to play to see how it all turns out. So far I'm not complaining - although I wouldn't have gone after Flacco, Manning, Foles or any of the other scrap pile retreads, but I'm not GM privy to all the inside knowledge that a GM has. I just like to watch the Broncos, cheer when they do good and bitch when they don't...
Anyway it is about arm talent. Flacco can throw deep balls. Case can't. We will probably want to use a vertical passing attack and zone running like the 49ers do. Case can't do that, Flacco can and sadly so can Lock.
Wow, we have sunk low when we celebrate a QB signing just because we think he is better then Case Keenum. Not a very lofty standard. Plus his career stats are no better then Keenum's. See https://milehighsports.com/is-joe-flacco-an-upgrade-over-case-keenum-similar-stats-tell-the-tale/
Here is another https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/02/14/was-joe-flacco-trade-good-move-broncos-internet-says-flacc-no/?utm_term=.72429c20ef97
There were better career comparisons yesterday that I cannot find today that showed them basically having the same career stats.
B1st, my understanding of the Keenum contract situation is as follows (hope I am right, sometimes this gets confusing). Right now we have a $10 million dead cap, comprised of $3M due to prorating the signing bonus and $7M due to the remaining salary guarantee.
If we keep him under the current contract, it would add $11M more to the cash and also the cap numbers. So his cap number would be $18M. If we cut him his dead cap would be $10M and we would have to pay hime $7M.
If we trade him and do not assume any responsibility for his remaining contract, his dead cap would be $3M.
If we restructure, his dead cap would be $3M and his 2019 cap would be the $3M plus the restructured salary.
So between Flacco and Keenum, our QB cap number will be $39.5 in 2019 if both are kept under their current contract (probably not likely).
It would be $28.5 if Keenum is cut.
The best it would be $21.5 in the best scenario of trading him without eating any contract. Who knows if this is possible.
In any event, we can only hope for the best. It is a lot of cap space for 2 poorly performing QBs.
Hopefully, Flacco can return to form that he had for 30 days out of his 11 year career.
Per Adam Schefter - Broncos have notified LB Brandon Marshall that they are most likely not going to exercise his option and he will be a free agent on March 13, per source.
Sorry to see Marshall go, but it seemed (at least tome) that he was starting on the downhill slide. might not have been the type of player Fangio is looking for at linebacker too.
I am not surprised by that move. I think Marshall was set to make around $9 million or so this year and didn’t play much last year. With the drafting of Jewel last year, I figured Marshall would be expendable, especially with such small cap space and lots of free agents.
He played well for us early on, despite being a journeyman for a few years before coming to Denver. But I think he is on the decline and not worth the paycheck he will be getting.
I agree, I'm not thrilled with Flac either but I sure didn't want a rerun of Keenum as well. We aren't done with the QB position yet - at least I hope not. Maybe some magic will fall our way - we are due for some really good shit to happen.
Sorry, I changed my ad blocker and discovered the new one was blocking me from posting or deleting my own comments - hence all the deletes as I was doing "tests" to correct the issue. It's working now except I lost a couple of posts... no loss.
I agree, we are due to get lucky on a QB. I don't know near enough about any of them in the draft to have an opinion on who might fit that bill. Maybe we should give Kelly another chance.
Kelly will never get another chance in Denver, plus i was always amazed that so many Bronco fans thought that the last pick of the draft was our answer at QB..Shows how far we have fallen at the most important position in all of sports.
Rather than hope to get lucky, let's do solid research and evaluation, find a top young QB, whether this year or next or 2021, and develop him. Let's be SMART and make our own luck.
I know I am in the small minority in wanting Kyler Murray, but i would do whatever it takes to get him. My opinion is that if you don't get him, then wait until next year or even 2021 when Lawrence comes out.
I am ok with dogshit Keenum ot dogshit Flacco, if there is a plan to get a young stud.
It's not like we are going to be a contender in the next few years anyway, especially with Mahommes in our division.
I'm not against Murray, I'd be fine if we drafted him and ecstatic if he reached your expectations with the Broncos. I'm not a big fan of trading our future to draft a possible future however. If Murray falls to us at #10 and we take him, I'm down with that but with reservations about his height and his one year wonder record. But hey, other QBs with the same reservations have done well in the past so anything is possible.
As for Kelly, being drafted as "Mr. Irrelevant", that didn't speak to his talent level, just his maturity level (more specifically, his lack of maturity and emotional control). If his head was level and he didn't have his off field issues in college, he would have been drafted several rounds higher in my opinion and many others - including the "experts".
Understood, but he did have those issues and still does. My point was that to expect Mr Irrelevant to become your franchise QB is unrealistic, regardless of the reasons he was drafted there. I don't blame Elway for this pick. It was a good gamble with no risk. Just like Siemian was a good pick in the 7th. My point was that I was surprised with so many fans having such high expectations for him. I wish the gamble would have paid off, but it did not.
Flacco has already taken — and passed — his physical, clearing the way for the move to become official next month, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated and confirmed by Klis.
Well, check that box off. Let's hope he can stay healthy until we get our future franchise QB - whoever that may be.
Some are wondering about bringing Paradis back. I have not been or high on him as everyone else. Maybe I have been wrong, maybe not. But he has had serious injuries and it seemed to me that McGovern did fine in replacing him.
Matt has consistently been rated as one of the top centers in the NFL. PFF has had him in the top 5 for several years. From what I've read, he's a leader in the locker room and on the field - and well liked by teammates and coaches. So, I'd say keep him as long as the money is within reason.
We've had so many years of redoing the OL every season and then waiting for the "gel" to happen - I just want to see some consistency as a unit with who we have. Munchak is gonna help our line and if they can stay healthy this year, they could finally be very good.
As for McGovern, yes he played well at center and he's still on his rookie contract (2 years left) so he has that going. Thing is, McGovern and Billy Turner are both so versatile and can be moved to fill almost anywhere on the OL. So, either keep them all or cut/trade one or sign Paradis to a 2-3 contract and kick the decision down the road when McGovern's contract expires?
Or, there's Veldheer, Wilkerson and Leary to consider - do we put Turner or McGovern in to start for Wilkerson, Leary or Veldheer or do we stick with Wilkerson (he's an ERFA this year) and release or trade one of the bigger contract guys? Whichever option we go with, I think we'll be fine since IMO, our talent and experience on OL are better now than in the last 4-5years.
I like Paradis, he is good. McGovern covered well to start but faded fast to end the year. McGovern isn't as good a center as Paradis and is still learning guard. I'd rather see McGovern get better as RG (he was doing well there) and keep Paradis. Have two decent options at two positions versus one ok option at one.
LG and RT are the positions we need to address. I like Turner but it just hasn't clicked for him yet. Leary I think gets cut.
Don't get me wrong, Leary is good. But he doesn't stay on the field. Plus the fact we get 7.5 mil savings by cutting him, I think we could get a better replacement that could hopefully play 16 games.
I'd turn that money around and target Rodger Saffold, but he could be a pipe dream. Ramon Foster I think is more likely and we have the connection with our OL coach.
If we are playing Flacco at QB our offensive line now the most important unit on the team. So yes I think paying 10 mil is worth it. I think paying a new LG is worth it and drafting a new RT early also worth it.
Dug deeper into LG Ron Leary's contract. Leary had $5.35M of his $8.15M salary in '19 guaranteed against injury. He is injured, finishing on IR with torn Achilles. If he can't pass physical by March 17, and he won't, his $5.35M becomes fully guaranteed. So Leary is back.
Bummer since I reckon we should move on. Foster though could be a good cheap stop gap and Leary the back up with Garcia gone.
Gould, that's about where I thought they were. Not a lot of cap space for free agents. And these numbers do not include whatever amount we potentially give to Paradis. That is why I posed the question of do we keep him. He has had some serious injury issues.
Another question would be do we keep Sanders, coming off an achilles injury. Yesterday, Sanders tweeted that he would not do a restructure. Cutting him would save about $10M of cap space.
Yep, I saw that. It doesn't surprise me, rumour we low balled him hard at the start of the year. I think Paradis is more interested in seeing what he is worth on the market. May get a big offer or one similar to what we are offering. All negotiation at this stage.
According to CBS Sports, Broncos have the second-hardest strength of schedule for 2019, trailing only the Oakland Raiders (.539). Our 2019 opponents posted combined records of 136-117-3 last year, a win percentage of .537. Oh well, if it were easy, we'd be the Patriots... LOL!
Good read and I agree that we will still go after a QB at #10. I like that they think we'll be able to get either Haskins, Lock or Murray at #10... I'd be happy with any of those 3. Someone, I can't remember who, had us trading with TB (5th) for our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a 2nd in 2020. I'd hate to give up that much to move up 5 slots but if JE thinks that he can get the guy he wants by doing so, I'd have to consider it. TB would be a logical trade partner if their new coach means what he says about wanting to work with Winston.
HAHAHAHA! Robert Kraft arrested in Florida for soliciting a prostitute in a sting operation! Hope they find out that the prostitute was actually Gronk in drag...
Perhaps Kraft was celebrating being awarded 4 comp picks (tied for most) after just winning the SB? They got two 3rd rd picks, a 6th and a 7th... Broncos got zero... and the rich get richer!
Those write ups have been very well researched a written. Talent, coaching, and QB play are obviously all issues. Seems like the coaching problem is fixed which should help some of the talent issues. Not sure the QB change is gong to help much, but I guess we'll see.
wow, the coaching problem is fixed and you can tell that without any games, especially with a guy who has never been a HC before? You are a lot smarter than me.
I was referring to the O line coach, not the head coach. I've seen enough first time head coaches to know better than to say the Rookie head coach fixed anything.
Ok, read it again. I mentioned three things that needed to improve on the O line. Talent, coaching and QB play. I only said the coaching problem seems to be fixed, not the talent or QB play. Still plenty of opportunity for our O line to suck if the other two issues aren't addressed.
Vic Fangio on CB Bradley Roby: “We’re going to see how the free-agent market treats him. We’re going to stay in contact with him. We still have an interest in him and we’ll see where the process takes us.”
So Foles is officially a free agent, which any fool could have seen coming with how much the Eagles are over the cap and he had a $20 million option. I really wish Elway would have waited it out and tried to sign him.
Although texhnically we could dump Flacco and not owe him anything, I think. Think I saw his gauranteed portion of his contract is gone.
Vehicular assault during a single car accident. Did he try to run someone off the road and miss or was he trying to hurt someone in the car. There has to be a whole lot more to this story, but driving 70 in a 30 is pretty dumb by itself.
It said something about Colorado law stating that it is vehicular assault if driving recklessly and endangering someone's life. There were two passengers in the car
Thomas is said to have been driving on Auraria in a silver Ford Edge with Georgia plates at a very rapid clip. The speed limit for the stretch of the parkway in question is 30 miles per hour, but investigators believe he was going over 70.
The Auraria lanes between 12th Street and Speer are separated by a median festooned with trees, and according to the PC statement, Thomas drove over it and became airborne, passing over the southbound lanes and tumbling end-over-end into a grassy area to the east before the Edge wound up on its wheels again. No other cars were involved.
The three occupants of the vehicle were all hurt badly enough to require hospitalization, with one of the injuries deemed serious.
Why are these highly coordinated, dexterous and agile athletes with exceptional vision, strength and reflexes so bad at driving - especially when there's a woman involved?
Now that Brad finally got the 2018 schedule up we are moving on to 2019.
ReplyDeleteMy wishes;
Keenum gone.
Nope, I'd rather see KC win and be the LAST to pick in the draft and the hardest schedule...
DeletePlus SB winners always lose players and coaches to FA or just money demands...and the remaining guys get fat and lazy.
Delete1st KC's schedule is already fixed. This game has no bearing on it.
DeleteFixed for this year but not next year(see #4 below);
Delete1) Six games against divisional opponents — two games per team, one at home and one on the road.
Sorry wrong.(4) is based on where you finished in your division and has nothing to do with playoffs.
DeleteI always thought that your record played a part in who you played against? For instance, if our conference opponents (say it's AFCE) NE would face our (AFCW) #1 KC while we (#3 DEN) would face (#3 BUF). I could be wrong, they may have changed how it's figured. Whatever - doesn't matter, if it changes nothing then okay, I still don't want fucking Brady and the Patsies to win! LOL! I simply can't stand the Pats.
DeleteYou are exactly right but only the regular season record determines the next year opponents.
DeletePostseason has an impact on the seeding for the draft for the next year, but not on scheduling.
So the Chiefs are the AFC West #1 seed for scheduling whether or not they win or lose in the playoffs.
DeletePats won. I'd rather see the Chiefs cry.
ReplyDeletePats vs Rams.
Agreed, screw the Chiefs.
ReplyDeleteAway teams both won. Crazy. Loved seeing Chiefs lose again.
ReplyDeleteWe avoided the Mexico or London games!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the Super Bowl will be as good as the Championship games. Now that the Chiefs are goners, I will root for the Rams. Kinda like Denver Broncos West, with Wade, CJ and Talib.
ReplyDeleteDid you hear that CJ told a Denver reporter after the game "Call Elway and tell him I said ha ha!"
Good for him, found it funny.
After he sat out most of the year and played 5 games...ok you do you CJ. Enjoy that bench and watching Gurley play in the Superbowl.
ReplyDeleteCJ played a big role in both Rams playoff games.
ReplyDeleteWould not surprise me to see him contribute in the Super Bowl. Something is going on with Gurley.
Yeah and it's something they don't want to make public.
DeleteHis knee is cooked.
DeleteThe Broncos have signed former Packers starting OL Don Barclay to a reserve/future deal, per Twitter
ReplyDeleteSigned an OL today.
ReplyDeleteIf Peko costs to much
ReplyDelete49ers declined NT Earl Mitchell's 2019 option, making him a free agent.
Mitchell was due non-guaranteed $2.85 million salaries in 2019 and 2020 but will not be getting them. The 31-year-old will be a free agent after the Super Bowl, giving him a chance to latch on with another team before the rest of the free-agent group is available to sign in mid-March.
He was pretty ineffective for the 49ers though.
DeleteAlso released Andre Holmes.
I'm pretty interested in the Senior Bowl. Interesting crop of QBs.
ReplyDeleteThe more I watch and hear of Lock the more I like. Also heaps of rumours floating around we like Lock as well.
YUCK!
DeleteThe only QB that I would want this year is Murray. Otherwise I say be patient and wait for next year.
ReplyDeleteSo it's Murray or Keenum for you? What if Murray is gone? Then we are stuck with Kee or some other scrap heap cast-off. If we wind up 10-6 or 11-5 due to better coaching and get luck, that would put us in the 20's draft slot for 2020. That means we'd have to sell the farm or take whatever is leftover after the cream of the class has been skimmed. I'd rather go with the best QB pick we can make this year and if that doesn't work out, we still have the sell the farm option for 2020's draft.
Delete"get lucky" not "get luck"....
DeleteDon't forget that the Giants actually did draft a quarterback last year. the guy from Washington State. Also it seems to me that Jacksonville is freeing up money to go for a free agent quarterback. Probably Nick Foles. I'm sure some teams that are in need of drafting a quarterback we'll move up in front of us though.
ReplyDeleteAre you thinking of Kyle Lauletta from Richmond? NY drafted him in the 4th - I don't know if they consider him the heir apparent to Eli. Jax could go after a FA like Foles or whoever else comes available but they'll also be thinking future and like the Broncos, may think their draft position (7th) may be better this year than in 2020 to go after a QB. It's hard to figure what teams will do - guess we'll find out in a few months... lots can change between now and then.
DeleteKiszla is pounding all of this years' QBs over at the post. Doesn't like any of them and thinks Elway shouldn't waste a 1st round pick on any of them. Broncos first pick (this is my opinion, not Kiszla) will be a defensive pick with Fangio coaching the team.
DeleteMy understanding of Lauletta and the Giants is that he did not wow them in training camp or preseason. And then he got in legal trouble when he almost ran over a police officer.
ReplyDeleteBowlen's son at it again. How can such a great man have such a turd son?
ReplyDeleteMust be moving on from alcohol to drugs. A bit bizarre!
DeleteWith Jags getting Defilippo everyone thinks they will get Foles (since they worked together at the Eagles).
ReplyDeleteIf that is the case then after the Giants we will get the pick of the QBs. Only have to worry about the Fins and Washington moving up but that is a decent move for both of them.
Dark horse would be the Raiders taking a QB.
So if Haskins goes to the Giants we can have either Murray, Jones or Lock.
Hopefully Elway can see the way the league is headed and will draft a mobile athletic QB with a great arm and accuracy (Murray) and not Giraffe #3.
ReplyDeleteJackson is ready and waiting :P
Deletemeh
DeleteFrom what I have seen all the qbs had a solid day but Jackson and Finley had the most wow plays for me. I’d be interested in adding Jackson on day 3 to go with whoever we draft in round one. Hedge our bets.
ReplyDeletePundits are saying Drew Lock and Jarrett Stidham were the 2 winners of the QBs - some saying Lock would be a top 10 pick and someone the Broncos or Jags might go after.
ReplyDeleteWhy are we always so transparent? Obviously we're interested in Lock. It seemed like a lock that we could get Lock at number 10. in fact it seemed like we were overdrafting him at number 10.
ReplyDeleteA lot of QBs are overdrafted early in the draft. Will also be the case this year.
DeleteA lot of over hype on this class at the moment. Calmer heads will hopefully prevail. Combine will be interesting. Hopefully all QBs show and throw.
DeleteJust read a report that says Elway is “smitten” with Lock. Right now my hope is someone takes him before us. I might change my mind before th e draft, but right now I’d rather take beat player available at 10. Elway doesn’t have such a good track record with picks he falls in love with before the draft.
ReplyDeleteI can get behind Lock. Good talent and leader, biggest issues are hand size and accuracy.
DeleteWell he didn't get some of them.
ReplyDeleteWho is "he" and "them"? I don't understand who and what yer referring to.
DeleteMy comment could have been worded better. I was more referring to his record with QBs he has fallen in love with. Although I'm sure there are probably QBs he liked better that he didn't get, which was your point.
DeleteActually I was asking Digger about his post "Well he didn't get some of them". I understood your post.
DeleteHe is Elway and them is players he fell in love with.
ReplyDeleteIt always becomes so apparent who we want.
DeleteWell I'll be happy with one of the top two offensive tackles or one of the top cornerbacks at number 10. Don't trade down don't trade up don't screw around with it. We can get a really solid player at number 10.
DeleteI would trade up for Murray or take him at 10 if he is there, but I don't think he is the type of QB Elway likes, probably too good for Elway's liking. So absent that, I agree, let's stay at 10.
ReplyDeleteI hope Murray does everything at the combine unlike what Lamar did last year. Otherwise I think he will go late first like Lamar did. Someone like the Pats take a risk on him at 31-32.
DeletePer Troy Renck on Twitter,
ReplyDeleteThis name surfaced a few days ago, and now happening. Confirming Broncos are interviewing T.C. McCartney for CU QB Sal Aunese and grandson of coach Bill McCartney. He played at Fairview. Went to LSU.
Report we have signed him. I'm liking this young offensive staff. Be interesting to see what they come up with.
DeleteAs I first reported T.C. McCartney interviewed with Broncos today for the QB coach position and I can now report they have reached agreement. Also: Rob Calabrese will become Broncos offensive assistant. He was Rich Scangarello's RB coach at Wagner and replaced him as OC.
DeleteChamp and Pat are in the HoF!
ReplyDeleteBut still not Atwater. What shame on the voters.
ReplyDeleteFinally they put Bowlen in!
ReplyDeleteAbout damn time.
Love the stat jinx on the Patriots! He hasn’t missed a FG in this stadium. 31-31 here. Kick goes left!
ReplyDeletegotta love it.
Gotta love Brady’s first pass was picked off.
Brady wins...again :(
ReplyDeleteBrady wins #6. If it was not for the Manning Bros, he would probably have 10 - 12 rings.
ReplyDeleteDarn. Gruden ke Carr.
ReplyDeleteKept.
ReplyDeleteCarr to us was the longest of shots but it would have helped the market. Because as it stands the QB market is thin.
ReplyDeleteWell, it at least probably means the Raiders will not be drafting a QB before us in the 1st round.
DeleteThere will be one of the top QBs in this draft available to us at 10. With this years caliber of QBs to draft, seems like that is analogous with being the tallest midget in the circus. I've said this s few times, I know, but i'd like to us go best man available and stay at 10.
ReplyDeleteMurray is going to be at the combine. That is a good first step.
ReplyDeleteKeeping all of his options open.
DeleteI'm definitely keen to see what he can do in shorts.
DeleteHopefully he interviews well because he was super wishy washy in interviews during the Superbowl week.
Kyler Murray announced that he is committed to football. Too bad Elway will never consider a young, mobile, athletic QB.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of mixed on Murray.
ReplyDeleteSame concerns with Haskins.
That is another good step for Murray, already reports Giants won’t take him.
ReplyDeleteI’m not worried about his height, I’m worried about his thickness and arm length.
ReplyDeleteThing is, JE has gotten snake bit on Paxton Lynch, a 1st rounder (3rd QB taken, 26th overall) who he traded up 5 spots for and gave up a 3rd to do so.
I would also add the 2 year deal to Case Keenum as not one of Elway's better moves.
ReplyDeleteI was referring to drafted QBs by Elway... but if you want to add FAs and trades, I'll see your Keenum and raise you a Manning.
DeleteDon't forget the great signing of Butt Fumble.
DeleteIf he does not take Murray, then I hope he does not take a QB at 10. I don't really like the other QBs this year. We are stuck with Keenum for 2019, so wait a year or 2 and build up the other areas of the team.
ReplyDeleteIf we don't go the QB route this year, I'm okay with that but we gotta look at the position in some form, even as a backup for 2019 and beyond. So far we have Keenum, Kevin Hogan as BU and Garrett Grayson on PS. That barely qualifies for Alliance Of American Football material.
DeleteDemaryius Thomas got cut by the Texans. I think that could be his career done.
ReplyDeleteBroncos reported to have agreed to trade a mid round pick for Joe Flacco. Why can't Elway just draft a good young QB? Now we will overpay two stiffs.
ReplyDeleteReports are that his contract will be reworked.
DeleteDoes this mean that they cut Keenum and save some cash and cap but still take a $10M cap hit???? Other teams must be laughing at Elway. Like Seattle which got draft picks from the Broncos in the Paxton Lynch fiasco and then signed him as a back up without having to give up anything. So they got our picks and Lynch.
DeleteI was right. Another giraffe.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.

ReplyDeleteReports are that it is our early 4th round pick in exchange for Flacco.
ReplyDeleteIt is also being reported we will shop Keenum.
ReplyDeleteWill have to wait and see what his contract is but a rework is a good sign.
Also still think we go QB at 10.
Vegas odds of us winning the Superbowl went form 22% clear up to 26% now that we have Flacco. So we have that going for us.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteNot surprised here, I figured we'd go after Flacco or Manning.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have a former SB winner, pro-bowler and long term starter as a backup and mentor to whatever rookie QB we take than a guy like Case.
DeleteFlacco fits for a number of reasons.

DeleteFlacco has never played in a Pro Bowl and his career numbers are basically the same as Keenum's. He has been getting banged up and we better hope that Digger is right and that our OL issues are solved with Munchak.
ReplyDeleteFlacco won a SB and was the MVP in it... Pro Bowl is just a flash - most players who make it do so on past rep, not actually deserving it. Oh and Keenum has never made the Pro Bowl.
DeleteNo one ever said Keenum played in a Pro Bowl. I'm not a Keenum fan. Elway signed him, not me. I was just pointing out that Flacco never played in Pro Bowl as was erroneously reported above. Just trying to keep everything factual.
DeleteCase hasn't had anywhere near the starts (54) as Joe (163) meaning Kee's one good season has skewed the hell out of his stats - to the plus side.
DeleteI see where you were correcting Gould about the Pro Bowl and yer right, Joe never went to a PB but he was selected MVP to a SB that his team won.
DeleteFlacco never made the Pro Bowl and once was offered as the 6th alternate but declined due to his wife's upcoming pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteSo he made it?
DeleteDid Phillip Lindsay make the Pro Bowl?
Lindsay was voted to the Pro Bowl, not offered as an afterthought after 6 others declined.
DeleteAnyway it is about arm talent. Flacco can throw deep balls. Case can't. We will probably want to use a vertical passing attack and zone running like the 49ers do. Case can't do that, Flacco can and sadly so can Lock.
ReplyDeletePlus we are comparing a 2009 Camry to a 2010 model. Both aren't the future for this franchise.
DeleteThe key Gould is what is the future?
DeleteWow, we have sunk low when we celebrate a QB signing just because we think he is better then Case Keenum. Not a very lofty standard. Plus his career stats are no better then Keenum's. See https://milehighsports.com/is-joe-flacco-an-upgrade-over-case-keenum-similar-stats-tell-the-tale/
ReplyDeleteHere is another https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/02/14/was-joe-flacco-trade-good-move-broncos-internet-says-flacc-no/?utm_term=.72429c20ef97
ReplyDeleteIf we keep him under the current contract, it would add $11M more to the cash and also the cap numbers.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see Marshall go, but it seemed (at least tome) that he was starting on the downhill slide. might not have been the type of player Fangio is looking for at linebacker too.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised by that move. I think Marshall was set to make around $9 million or so this year and didn’t play much last year. With the drafting of Jewel last year, I figured Marshall would be expendable, especially with such small cap space and lots of free agents.
ReplyDeleteHe played well for us early on, despite being a journeyman for a few years before coming to Denver. But I think he is on the decline and not worth the paycheck he will be getting.
I saw this on Twitter, did not verify it, but it is a little shocking.
ReplyDeleteEmmanuels Sanders is the Broncos' only offensive starter from Super Bowl 50 under contract for 2019.
If Brandon Marshall is indeed let go, four SB50 defensive starters will be under contract: Derek Wolfe, Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr., Darian Stewart.
DeleteTo me it's like when Trump won. At least it wasn't Hillary. Pretty depressing being a die hard fan and having to go through this.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to move on from Keenum. I got my wish. But Flacco.....
ReplyDeleteIt isn't a nice taste. Hopefully we get someone else as well in the draft.
DeleteReports Washington were interested in Flacco as well. I still think that is where we end up sending Case.
I agree, I'm not thrilled with Flac either but I sure didn't want a rerun of Keenum as well. We aren't done with the QB position yet - at least I hope not. Maybe some magic will fall our way - we are due for some really good shit to happen.

ReplyDeleteAs long as you got it fixed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, we are due to get lucky on a QB.
DeleteRather than hope to get lucky, let's do solid research and evaluation, find a top young QB, whether this year or next or 2021, and develop him. Let's be SMART and make our own luck.
DeleteI know I am in the small minority in wanting Kyler Murray, but i would do whatever it takes to get him.
DeleteAs for Kelly, being drafted as "Mr.
DeleteFlacco has already taken — and passed — his physical, clearing the way for the move to become official next month, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated and confirmed by Klis.
ReplyDeleteWell, check that box off.
ReplyDeleteAs high not or high
DeleteMatt has consistently been rated as one of the top centers in the NFL. PFF has had him in the top 5 for several years. From what I've read, he's a leader in the locker room and on the field - and well liked by teammates and coaches. So, I'd say keep him as long as the money is within reason.
DeleteWe've had so many years of redoing the OL every season and then waiting for the "gel" to happen - I just want to see some consistency as a unit with who we have.
DeleteLG and RT are the positions we need to address. I like Turner but it just hasn't clicked for him yet. Leary I think gets cut.
Really, Leary cut? Why do you say that?
DeleteCap number and injury history.
DeleteCap hit: $9,218,750, Dead Cap: $1,750,000
Don't get me wrong, Leary is good. But he doesn't stay on the field. Plus the fact we get 7.5 mil savings by cutting him, I think we could get a better replacement that could hopefully play 16 games.
DeleteI'd turn that money around and target Rodger Saffold, but he could be a pipe dream. Ramon Foster I think is more likely and we have the connection with our OL coach.
DeleteSo what will the number be to resign Paradis? What if it is 10M? Is he that much better than McGovern? Could those dollars be used elsewhere?
ReplyDeleteIf we are playing Flacco at QB our offensive line now the most important unit on the team. So yes I think paying 10 mil is worth it. I think paying a new LG is worth it and drafting a new RT early also worth it.
DeleteMcGovern is a better RG than Center.
Have a read of:

If not Paradis, I'd steal Morse from KC but both still going to be around that 10 mil range.
Also been finding this series really interesting on MHR.
Deletehttps://www.milehighreport.com/2019/2/12/18220120/blame-game-bronco-sacks-2018-part-2
The blame game on the sacks is a great read. thanks.
DeleteAlso found this out on the Leary front from Klis:
ReplyDeleteDug deeper into LG Ron Leary's contract.
And anyone interested in our cap situation:
Deletehttps://www.milehighreport.com/2019/2/18/18229920/estimating-the-broncos-cap-space-for-free-agency-after-the-flacco
Gould, that's about where I thought they were. Not a lot of cap space for free agents. And these numbers do not include whatever amount we potentially give to Paradis. That is why I posed the question of do we keep him. He has had some serious injury issues.
DeleteAnother question would be do we keep Sanders, coming off an achilles injury. Yesterday, Sanders tweeted that he would not do a restructure. Cutting him would save about $10M of cap space.
Ben Garland anyone?
ReplyDeleteCareer Back-up.
DeleteI think Sanders will be gone. There have been rumors of that before.
ReplyDeleteLooking that way. Cut him and trade for AB?
DeleteNow rumours we keep him lol
Deletehttps://www.milehighreport.com/2019/2/20/18233547/report-broncos-likely-to-pick-up-emmanuel-sanders-option
Gould, an article kind of contradictory to the ones that you posted. It will be interesting.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.milehighreport.com/2019/2/20/18232923/report-denver-likely-to-let-matt-paradis-test-free-agency
Yep, I saw that. It doesn't surprise me, rumour we low balled him hard at the start of the year. I think Paradis is more interested in seeing what he is worth on the market. May get a big offer or one similar to what we are offering. All negotiation at this stage.
DeleteWe told Peko we are not signing him till the later part of FA. Try to get younger first. Peko wants to be back with us though.
ReplyDeleteAccording to CBS Sports, Broncos have the second-hardest strength of schedule for 2019, trailing only the Oakland Raiders (.539). Our 2019 opponents posted combined records of 136-117-3 last year, a win percentage of .537. Oh well, if it were easy, we'd be the Patriots... LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaving bears, vikes, our division opponents in chargers and chiefs. Going to be a tough year.
DeleteFound this interesting:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-why-broncos-should-still-look-at-a-qb-in-the-first-round-of-the-draft
DeleteHAHAHAHA! Robert Kraft arrested in Florida for soliciting a prostitute in a sting operation! Hope they find out that the prostitute was actually Gronk in drag...
ReplyDeletePerhaps Kraft was celebrating being awarded 4 comp picks (tied for most) after just winning the SB? They got two 3rd rd picks, a 6th and a 7th... Broncos got zero... and the rich get richer!
DeleteHaha kraft getting busted is too funny, sucks about comp picks though.
DeleteWhat's even funnier is that it was at a local rub'n'tug, hahaha! You'd think a billionaire could afford a high priced call girl...
DeletePart 3 of the sack blame game is up:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.milehighreport.com/2019/2/26/18236499/blame-game-bronco-sacks-2018-part-3
Those write ups have been very well researched a written. Talent, coaching, and QB play are obviously all issues. Seems like the coaching problem is fixed which should help some of the talent issues. Not sure the QB change is gong to help much, but I guess we'll see.
ReplyDeletewow, the coaching problem is fixed and you can tell that without any games, especially with a guy who has never been a HC before? You are a lot smarter than me.
ReplyDeleteI was referring to the O line coach, not the head coach. I've seen enough first time head coaches to know better than to say the Rookie head coach fixed anything.
DeleteAh, I misunderstood. But I feel good that both Digger and you have assured me that our offensive line problems have been resolved.
DeleteOk, read it again. I mentioned three things that needed to improve on the O line. Talent, coaching and QB play. I only said the coaching problem seems to be fixed, not the talent or QB play. Still plenty of opportunity for our O line to suck if the other two issues aren't addressed.
DeleteSo exactly what coaching issue is resolved and what do you base that on?
DeleteI like Munchak for the offensive line coach. He has a history of success with Houston, Tennessee and Pittsburgh as O line coach.
DeleteI think it will be a true test for him in Denver. Hopefully he is as good as advertised.
DeleteI agree Head.
DeleteOBF
Wishful thinking on our part that our OL has been addressed by the coaching change.
Vic Fangio on CB Bradley Roby: “We’re going to see how the free-agent market treats him. We’re going to stay in contact with him. We still have an interest in him and we’ll see where the process takes us.”

ReplyDeleteHope the link works
Haha. Bro do you go to clown college?
DeleteI'm a professor there.
DeleteIt was one of the comments on your story. I wasn't referring to you OBF.
DeleteSo Foles is officially a free agent, which any fool could have seen coming with how much the Eagles are over the cap and he had a $20 million option. I really wish Elway would have waited it out and tried to sign him.
ReplyDeleteAlthough texhnically we could dump Flacco and not owe him anything, I think. Think I saw his gauranteed portion of his contract is gone.
We can cut Flacco at any time which is nice.
DeleteElway said he would like Case back if they can work something out, so anything at QB at this point is on the table.
Foles does not suck enough for Elway to want him.
DeleteWe officially have picked up the options of Wolfe and Sanders.
ReplyDeleteRussell Wilson combine measurements 5'10 5/8" - 204 lbs 10.25" hands
ReplyDeleteKyler Murray combine measurements 5'10.1" - 207 lbs 9.5" hands
Did what he needed to do at the combine, bummer he isn’t going to run or throw.
DeleteFormer Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was arrested is in custody for vehicular assault in Denver,
ReplyDeleteVehicular assault during a single car accident. Did he try to run someone off the road and miss or was he trying to hurt someone in the car. There has to be a whole lot more to this story, but driving 70 in a 30 is pretty dumb by itself.
DeleteIt said something about Colorado law stating that it is vehicular assault if driving recklessly and endangering someone's life. There were two passengers in the car
DeleteThanks. That makes more sense. Driving 70 in a 30 would seem to meet that criteria.
DeleteThomas is said to have been driving on Auraria in a silver Ford Edge with Georgia plates at a very rapid clip. The speed limit for the stretch of the parkway in question is 30 miles per hour, but investigators believe he was going over 70.
ReplyDeleteThe Auraria lanes between 12th Street and Speer are separated by a median festooned with trees, and according to the PC statement, Thomas drove over it and became airborne, passing over the southbound lanes and tumbling end-over-end into a grassy area to the east before the Edge wound up on its wheels again. No other cars were involved.
The three occupants of the vehicle were all hurt badly enough to require hospitalization, with one of the injuries deemed serious.
Not going to help his chances of finding a new team.
DeleteWhy are these highly coordinated, dexterous and agile athletes with exceptional vision, strength and reflexes so bad at driving - especially when there's a woman involved?
DeleteHere, hold my beer.
DeleteB1st - probably because not even ungodly athletic skills came overcome physics.
