This Blog is for real Bronco Fans to chat about our favorite team and discuss all things Bronco (This blog was created by Dhag, but Broncobrad kicked him to the curb and has taken it over)Dhag still administrators power on this blog and can kick back!!!
FG Bears, they take 6-3 lead. Sorry, but our D is playing soft. Holding them to FGs on long, time eating drives is gonna wear our softies out. We'd better learn to tackle on 1st contact.
2:00 warning and we are moving the ball - but can we score a TD to tie it? At least we have a chance - time to play our best. If we score 6 and Fangio goes for 2 O will turn in my Bronco card! Naw, he wouldn't do that!
Guess I got this right the 1st time since the refs decided to add 1 more second on the last play of the game to hand CHI the win. Don't get me wrong, we spent 59 minutes and 29 seconds losing this game, it should have never come down to a last second chance by the refs to decide the game. Well, we've made our own bad luck so far, we've got 14 more game to change it, to prove we are better than a winless team. Who knows, maybe by the time Lock is healthy enough to return our record will justify seeing what we have in him or whether we'll need to roll the dice at QB again in the 2020 draft?
Sorry, but I disagree. When You have our talent, a 1 point lead with 31 seconds left and they need 40 or so yards to try a FG and we give it up, that's a shit D.
Bears started on their own 25 with 31 seconds and we allow a 53 yd FG? That sucks on D, on coaching on effort, on their whole fucking mess. This year is down the drain, I change my prediction, we go 0-16 and Fagio gets fired, Flacco gets cut, Elway probably goes job hunting and the Donkeys take a 10 year dive into Cleveland's old loser spot. This one is gonna take a while to digest.
Never mind me, I'm just letting off steam. But who thinks we can win 9 of our last 14 to go 9-7? We have 5 division games left plus GB, JX, TN, IN, CL, MN, TX, SEA, and LAR yet and the others are NOT "gimmes" by any stretch (BUF, DET, SF, AZ). My crystal ball is clouded with orange blood.
LOL! I was so upset that when I just now re-read what I wrote, and realized I wrote down our preseason games too... LOL!! Yes, I was seeing red, blind with anger. Oh well, it's a game, on the life scale about a .02 of 10,000 life events. Still love our Broncos, just wish they'd get better.
I'm going to wait until 4 games (25% of season before I react to this year, but I went to the game and have a few observations.
1) Tailgated with a lot of Bears fans and even though it's hard to believe, they hate Cutler even more than we do. Tailgated with Bronco fans; I thought I was hard on Elway, there were downright nasty comments made by Bronco fans.
2) I'm not a Flacco fan and was disappointed that we signed him, but he is better than what we have had the last 3 years. They just need to find ways to score touchdowns.
3) More than most folks on this blog, I was willing to give VJ a chance to get better, because I felt like Elway made him a head coach before he was ready. Everyone blamed VJ and I blamed Elway. Then Elway hired another 1st time HC and first time OC. So I expect there to be growing pains again, so I will once again try to be patient. The one point that I will make about Fangio is - Will someone buy him some new clothes and get rid of his utility belt.
4) The one real shot I will take right now is Garret BOOOOOOO lles. I am calling him another first round bust of Elways. Too bad our drafts and FA on the OL has been so atrocious that we have no depth and we are stuck with this POS.
We knew coming into this Bolles was dumb as stones and by many accounts he has a learning difficult but after 3 years he needs to show improvement. When I was watching this weeks game, I remember thinking Wilkinson's kickstep was much nicer and longer than Bolles. Also interesting to note the Bears moved Mack from going against Wilkinson to exclusive going against Bolles.
Not many comments from game #1 - is this the trend of DENVER BRONCOS TRUE FANS?
ReplyDeleteFirst drive was good, bummer couldnt lead to a touchdown but we got some points
ReplyDeleteYep, we got 3 at least which is 100% better than last week. Now to see if our D can get some pressure on Mitch.
DeleteI've got a shitty feed - so I won't be into sync with anyone getting real time...
ReplyDeleteOur D looked good on the Bears 1st possession but not as good on their 2nd... still having trouble stopping runs.
DeleteD been pretty good. Wolfe and Jewell came to play.
ReplyDeleteAnother stalled drive for us, I think that makes 3 now? We are getting some movement though. This could be a low scoring down to last possession game.
ReplyDeleteYep we in a battle. Close game.
ReplyDeleteFG Bears, they take 6-3 lead. Sorry, but our D is playing soft. Holding them to FGs on long, time eating drives is gonna wear our softies out. We'd better learn to tackle on 1st contact.
ReplyDeleteBolles is a holding machine...
ReplyDeleteFirst one was a nothing call. The second was a hold all day.
DeleteGould, we need to stop meeting like this, we need at least 1 more poster to chaperone... anybody else out there?
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah. Wolfe is playing well.
DeleteOur O stalls again... penalties and broken plays are killing us.
ReplyDeleteWhy he let it bounce :(
ReplyDeleteBolles is losing the plot.
Delete3rd hold by Bolles...SMH
ReplyDelete6-3 half. We fighting. Flacco has been good but he hasn’t challenged the field yet and why Sutton has no catches. See what the second brings.
ReplyDeleteLAC lost and KC plays OAK so if we can score a W we move up to a 3 way tie for 2nd in AFCW.
ReplyDeleteStinky 1st half, we still aren't playing NFL ball on either O or D. Getting tired of no action, no cheering games.
ReplyDeleteI’d say this is good quality pro football, we just battling and points are tough. This is a defensive game.
DeleteWhen do bolles switch teams ahaha
ReplyDelete72 seems to be the handicap...
Delete2nd penalty for Wolfe... another 1st down.
ReplyDelete4th hold for Bolles... declined but still, wow!
ReplyDeleteFangio needs to fit Bolles with a straight jacket... limit him to holding with his teeth.
DeleteWhat a bad read but Parks.
ReplyDeleteBy
DeleteGetting killed by jet sweeps.
DeleteOur D is worn out... run up the yards now.
DeleteStill no sacks by our dynamic dual... and CHI gets a 46 yd run.
ReplyDeleteBears have a 16 minute edge on TOP? WOW, our D is worn out. We suck! This isn't a defensive game, we are flat out getting BEAT DOWN!
ReplyDelete13-3, I'm buying stock in brown paper sacks...
ReplyDeleteEnd of 3rd qtr and we are moving the ball - this is where we will no doubt turn the ball over...
ReplyDeleteFlacco takes aim and hits the dirt, our #1 receiver! Can we make the FG?
ReplyDeleteWe score! 13-6 Bears.
DeleteGood stop, we get the ball to try for another FG...
DeleteLindsay looks slow this year - just doesn't have that extra burst.
ReplyDeleteWe make a 4th & 2! YAAAAAAY!
ReplyDeleteOn the 4 give it to Freeman!
ReplyDeleteINT to kill everything, bad pass or maybe tipped at the line... we suck!
ReplyDeleteIs it too early to root for the #1 draft pick?
ReplyDelete4:45 to go... why?
ReplyDeleteWe call TO with 3:52 left and Chi on 2nd down... we need a turnover.
ReplyDeleteWe take 2nd TO with 3:45 remaining... guess we are giving up the FG game and going all in on making a TD to tie it.
ReplyDeleteJoe almost INTed again.
ReplyDeleteFlacco can NOT get rid of the ball quickly, just NOT in his skillset.
Delete2:00 warning and we are moving the ball - but can we score a TD to tie it? At least we have a chance - time to play our best.
ReplyDeleteIf we score 6 and Fangio goes for 2 O will turn in my Bronco card! Naw, he wouldn't do that!
4th & 3 after a lousy high, short of the sticks pass by Joe.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sutton hauls it in!
ReplyDeleteRD DENVER! Now to tie it!
ReplyDeleteTD not RD
DeleteNOOOO! Not going for 2?
ReplyDeleteDamn, nearly had a heart attack!
ReplyDeleteMISSSSS! Penalty, we get a 2nd chance!
ReplyDeleteHoly shit we made it !!!!!!! we take the lead 14-13 with :32 left. Up to our D now!
ReplyDelete:31

DeleteWe got the lead!
ReplyDeleteSanders made the catch, heart stopper for sure!
ReplyDeleteStill no sacks by Denver D!
ReplyDelete4th & 16 wit 9 seconds left
ReplyDeletePlay shit coverage on the most important play. We played pretty good but that was annoying.
ReplyDeleteWE win! No, they say he had 1 second left... in FG distance for Bears. our D couldn't stop them!
ReplyDeleteOur d was pretty good today, our O should have scored more points. I’m more annoyed with the refs on the last drive and playing too soft coverage.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shit way to lose the game. Damn. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I disagree. When You have our talent, a 1 point lead with 31 seconds left and they need 40 or so yards to try a FG and we give it up, that's a shit D.
ReplyDelete15 yards on roughing the passer which was a terrible call doesn’t help. We should have won that game definitely but we left too much on the field.
ReplyDeleteBears started on their own 25 with 31 seconds and we allow a 53 yd FG? That sucks on D, on coaching on effort, on their whole fucking mess. ReplyDeleteGot to remember the 15 yard roughing the passer and the time run off. No way they get that timeout off in time. Refs sucked.
ReplyDeleteWe pushed a 12-4 team right to the end. There is still hope. Flacco is pretty good compared to the garbage we have had in the past.
On a positive note, we now own last place in the AFCW uncontested, no sharing, we own it... again, for week 2. Best I got.
ReplyDeleteNever mind me, I'm just letting off steam. But who thinks we can win 9 of our last 14 to go 9-7? ReplyDeleteOur schedule is tough.

Time for the Bolles era to end. Good grief! How many plays has he cost us now? Way too many for sure.
DeleteSee Sanders call him out in the media?
