Broncos vs Chargers

93 comments:

  1. If Manning averages 319 yards per game over our final 3 games, he will break Drew Brees's single season passing record of 5,476 yards. He currently has 4,522 yards and needs 954 to tie. Very possible he does it since there has only been 2 games this season where he hasn't thrown for 300 yards, and one game where he only threw for 307. He has a good chance to reclaim that record as well as the TD pass record. I don't see how he doesn't throw 6 in three games since he is averaging over 3 per game on the season. I think it will all depend on what happens with the Chiefs and Pats over the next two weeks. If we lock up home field advantage after next week, he may not play the entire game against the Raiders. I hope he does, because we won't be playing the following week and we need to keep as much rhythm on offense as possible. I don't like the bye weeks for that reason.

  2. Champ is inactive, as is Wolfe. Anderson is on there too, leaving Hillman to be the 3rd RB option tonight.

  3. I'm a little leery about the game tonight. Inter division games tend to be close. I hope I'm worrying for nothing. A sweep of the West would be awesome to achieve again this year.

  4. ONLY 307 yards Brad? Haha. I hope he does too. While I think that the coaches will want to pull & rest guys, especially Peyton, I also think they know that this is the ending of the ride for him & will give him a reasonable shot at it

  5. The D has it's work cut out for them this time.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Defense can't stop a nose bleed tonight

    ReplyDelete
  7. I think that the loss of Vickerson hurts quite a bit. Teams have been running right there in the middle.

    But, man, they're bad

    ReplyDelete
  8. Good thing they took that timeout

    ReplyDelete
  9. This is what I meant about out Defense being suspect the other team.

Hopefully they can sneak a turnover and get Manning back in this game.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Whole team looks bad tonight. Offense got going once and can't do anything now.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Going for the second seed? Jeez alou

    ReplyDelete
  12. 5 yard penalty on 4th and 4 inside their ten! That is it, we are done.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Glad to see our defense fuckin showed up tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I realize we are missing guys who are out, but our secondary has been abysmal all season long. Guys look lost, are constantly out of position, and always missing assignments. Our secondary coach needs to get shitcanned after the season.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Now they can't get off the damn field. Wow wow wow

    ReplyDelete
  16. We couldn't get off the field since the first quarter. Seems like every time we have stopped them we shoot ourselves in the foot. We are quickly running out of feet.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why is Caldwell even in the game? He sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Finally some offense. Now we just need to stop them.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Horrible horrible defense. Holy crap.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well we stopped them, could have blocked the punt but really didn't rush, and end up being pinned at our own 2 yard line. The Drive III anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  21. What a twat. You know, sometimes you should just take a sack

    ReplyDelete
  22. We should end this game right & jump offsides now

    ReplyDelete
  23. No part of the Broncos deserved to win today. Del Rio should kiss any chance of a head coaching job good bye. This defense is absolutely embarrassing. Penalties and horrible play is no way to get to a championship. Cannot let a team run right up your rectum like that and then no closing in the open field. Disappointing all around.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not our day, just shows what I was worried about earlier this week. D is suspect. Plus the pentalies are killing us.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Cody, I will give Del Rio a pass because of the injuries he is dealing with. Hard to win with second stringers.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Getting run on is a matter of pride to some extent. D displayed none tonight. You can't win games if you can't take away one aspect of their offense and tonight they just let them run or throw whenever they liked. If the guys they have can't do the job then they should have figured that out before the season started. I mean if Wood can't be your MLB then why was DJ let go. If Duke isn't a safety that can play every snap why hasn't Champ been moved over... I'm putting this on Del Rio, not just this game but the whole season.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Gould,

I don't think Del Rio deserves a pass. Our defense has been terrible all season long, and for most of the season so far, he was only really missing Bailey. It has only been the last few weeks that we've been missing more than that. I agree we do have a lot of guys out and quite a few youngsters are stepping in. But guys have been out of place, missing assignments, and just plain poor in coverage. Missed tackles abound last night cost us the game. That falls back on Del Rio. Those are fundamentals of the game and its his responsibility to ensure that shit doesn't happen. I like Del Rio, but I'm not impressed with him this year at all. I hope there was some serious ass chewing after last nights game because they deserved to get beaten. We looked awful all the way around.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Cody,

Champ hasn't moved over because he can't play lol. He has to be on the field to play safety. Duke was better when Moore was in the lineup. Adams is very limited at best. He's a true backup.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Tough game and tough crowd. Someone said Caldwell sucks. He is not expected to be as good as Welker, he did pretty good as a backup I thought. I don't know why Mannning kept giving him so many targets instead of forcing it into ThomasX2 or Decker. SD shut us down running the ball, although we only ran it 11 times, and our tackling sucked. However we knew it sucked before the game was played. Basically we have known it has sucked for years now. We have covered it up pretty well most times because they have not been on the field for an extended amount of time. Last night the Chargers plain and simply did to us what we do to other defenses, tired us out. Time of possession won the game. That and the short week. We had a shot to pull it off despite only having the ball for 1/3 of the game up until the pick. I blame the loss on Manning not Del Rio. I guess he is human huh Brad. Can't blame it on the cold either. I'm sure there will be some sort of excuse. It's not the end of the world though. Who knows what fate will become of this loss. Maybe it will be for the better.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would like the new update on the Manning thing you did above with the after the game stats if you will. Now he will probably play vs the Raiders.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I can't blame Manning too much. The D didn't get him the ball. He let the 3 and outs get outta hand, but dang if your not on the field you can't score.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Fortunately I was in Tempe Arizona Thursday evening and I couldn't find the game on any station. Couldn't watch or listen to it on my work computer, so I wasn't subjected to anything but the running score. Sounds like we pretty much sucked in all aspects.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Figured it out myself Brad. He needs 666 yards yet to break Brees' record of 5476 yards. 4 TDs to break Brady's 50 TDs record.

    Cody
How can you not? The 20 million dollar man should've found a way to win despite everything. If he doesn't, it's his fault. I know the interception was a tipped pass. The Chargers stupid penalties and our own D's inadequacies kept him off the field, but when you're paid that much, are the general who is basically an on the field coach and your turnover costs you the game, it's your fault

    ReplyDelete
  34. Here's my take on the D. We are/have been playing with a lot of undrafted guys. Sure they are pretty good ones, but still not the top rated guys. The offense does not need or deserve any high draft picks for a couple of years now. For to many years we drafted offense early. Finally the last few years we have been drafting on the defensive side of the ball first and it will show dividends in the next couple of years, if we manage to keep them all. Von, Wolfe and Sly Williams, Jackson, Harris (I know undrafted, but awesome), DRC, Webster, Moore, Ayers are great building blocks. Woodyard , Trevathan and Nacho are good, not great. Champ is done at his price he will still want. We need a MLB and a DE in the first two rounds. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Digger - We need at least one more very good if not great corner. I think you buy a proven veteran for that spot but we still need to always have young corners in the pipe line. I'd also say we need a STUD middle linebacker in the draft, not a 5th round pick. Woodyard seems to be wearing down and I suspect that Trevathan will also. I really like them both, but they take a huge pounding every game and I don't think either would ever be confused with a stud linebacker. Remember when linebacker used to be a perennial strength of the Broncos year in and year out? Not so much these days.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yes a stud MLB. Have you looked at the next class yet? I don't watch much college football.

I'm always up for a CB in the draft. I think one should be drafted every year. One OL too.

    ReplyDelete
  37. These 2 would do. Make it happen John.

Trent Murphy DE Stanford 6-6 261
Shayne Skov ILB Stanford 6-2 245

    ReplyDelete
  38. John goes to his old school as a defensive pipeline? Sounds like a decent plan.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Look at us - we're still heavily in the hunt for the top seed in the playoffs and we're already looking at next years draft. Was it THAT bad a loss? well ya maybe... We sure were exposed.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It is just hard to believe right now that in week two of the playoffs a team won't come into Sports Authority Field and beat the Broncos, we don't look good outdoors in the cold. I am buying into the whole "Peyton Manning is the greatest regular season QB of all time" thing right now. Does his style really translate to the post season? Or is he just enough to single handedly beat mediocre teams... I hate having long weeks after a loss.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I know where you're coming from Cody, but a strong argument can still be made that Peyton has never had a strong defense to back up his offensive genius. That continues to be true in Denver.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Had a pretty decent defense last year. That SD game doesn't get turned around and neither does the season without Doom getting a sack fumble.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Digger,

Who are we playing with on defense that is undrafted? Do you mean rookies? The only guy I know of who starts is Chris Harris and maybe Mike Adams? Harris started last year as well, so that excuse doesn't really fly to me.

To me, the issue starts up front. We can't get constant pressure on anyone with the front four. Phillips has a lot of sacks on the season, but he doesn't get solid pressure consistently enough. The loss of Doom is killing us as much as I hate to admit. It affects Miller's ability to get into the backfield because they can double team him more often with nobody coming off the other side as much. Then, to top it off, our secondary has been terrible. They overrun plays, they are out of position, always let the receiver get the inside on their routes, and when the CB releases his man, there is never anyone there to cover them. Those secondary issues are a result of either poor player, poor work ethic, or poor coaching or a combination of all three. That is fundamental football and to me there is no excuse for those problems. The biggest problem is that they seem to be getting worse with each week. It starts with the secondary coach, but ultimately the responsibility falls back on Del Rio.

The offense can't be expected to outscore everyone all the time to make up for the defense's inability to get off the field. The few times they do get a stop, we end up with the ball inside the 10. It is hard to operate inside your own 10, but I do think the play calling there could be better.

Special teams has been extremely poor also. I'm not sure all of a sudden why nobody wants to return a damn kick, but we either fair catch or always let it go and takes a shitty bounce. It gives us crappy field position. Our offense in those situations is very predictable. We run the ball constantly on first and second down, and it allows the defense to play up on us and stuff us for no gains. Then we are left with 3rd and long, and we either end up getting sacked or Manning decides to run up the middle again. For some reason, we seem to have gotten conservative on offense the past five weeks or so with the lone exception being last week. And even that only started after halftime.

I am still hopeful for a SB trip this year, but I'm getting more and more pessimistic with each week. Defensively, we can't stop anyone. Del Rio needs to figure something out. We need to get guys back on the field and we need to quite dicking around and play some football.

Sorry I'm ranting, just frustrated. We will likely be tied with KC after this week, as well as NE. If we have to travel to NE to play in the postseason, we may as well plan on being home again for the SB. We can't win there period. Maybe we will be able to this time since Gronk is out, but who knows. I just don't want to have to go there again. I can't stand losing to them twice in one season. It pains me to lose to that piss ant McDaniels.

    ReplyDelete
  44. To continue the discussion about Manning, he may be the greatest or one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game, but ne rarely shows up in big games. Anytime we have a huge game, he tends to stumble and make a lot of mistakes, or just doesn't play well. I'm not saying I don't want him, just isn't that guy you want in there when you are up against the wall or when you need a huge win. That is clearly evident by his record in the playoffs. It is hard to argue against that fact.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Had trouble signing in all afternoon and lost my big (well by my standards) post.
I will try it again after the computer gets done cleaning.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Brad
I was referring to Woodyard, Trevathan and Ihenacho. It's not that I don't like these guys and I'm not saying a higher draft pick will automatically mean more success. I'm just saying that we have finally gotten our DTs, now I want the stud MLB we have been clamoring for. Also, I very much agree on the statement you made about missing Doom big time. He has been hurt most of the year and was no where near worth the contract he had here, so not really him per se, but someone with the production he had while with us. We need a DE....BAD! We did draft one, Q. Smith, he got hurt though.
DRC is a shutdown corner. Knock off the stupid handoffs on D. They don't work for us. Harris is awesome. Webster is a good tackler and a mediocre CB. As a rookie goes, I like him. A healthy Champ, if he could play as good as last year, would've been great. Didn't happen. Injuries!
Speaking of which, has anyone noticed the drop off since Moore went down? I heard he may be back for the playoffs. That would help a bunch. Our LB play is what we need to look at in the upcoming draft. As Head said though, it's much to early for that kind of talk.
Basically, we have to score 30 points a game to have a shot at winning. The offense knows that. Thursday, Manning did not do that. It's on him IMO and next year we draft more defense.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm thinking we're going to have to try to replace Welker next year too. Decker would do OK in the slot, but he won't be a Welker.

    ReplyDelete
  48. On the Manning talk and the being scared we'll lose in the playoffs again and not make the SB. I'm no more worried than before. We have 2 more games to get on a roll going into the playoffs. We will be fine. I want another Championship so bad I can taste it. Enough to where I am not going to bad mouth the fact that Manning chose Denver. I hope he gets one more shot at it this year or next and he rides off into the sunset.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Welker is signed for next year. Decker is the one you have to worried about leaving.

    ReplyDelete
  50. In fact, we're safe on everyone except Decker, Beadles, Walton and Woodyard. DRC's contract says something about being void if he's on the roster 5 days after SB 48, so I think he's a FA also.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Some of my observations on the defense.

Moore is a big loss (bit of a surprise). His talent and speed allowed Duke to play closer to the box and affect the running lanes. But with Adams in he can't cover the same ground Moore could forcing Duke to play off more in coverage, where he has struggled. Bolden I think was meant to be the better coverage dude lols.

Up front we really miss Wolfe. Though it doesn't look like he does much he is a key cog on the line. He is our workhorse eating double teams all the time. Add the loss of Big Vick and that is two lots of double teams that we are missing. Which affect Von and Phillips/Ayers. Williams and Unrein aren't the same guys. But I do really like Jackson, though I think he struggles with the extra snaps, more a rotation guy that comes in with a bang.

As for the corners, Harris world class. DRC is playing hurt and Webster is just a gifted rookie. With a struggling pass rush these guys and Duke etc get picked on.

On LBs, Trevathan is awesome, so glad we have him on this team. As for Woodyard without him in the middle we suck, plain and simple, he was the reason we lost to the Colts. But against the Pats I did notice he looked slow, I think he was playing scared because of the neck. It’s understandable but you can't do that as an LB.

So back from way above^, yes I give Del Rio a pass. Try and find a game where he had all 11 starters. There isn't one. But the bigger problem is it hasn't been the same guy missing, it has been different guys from all over the field which messes with your consistency.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Digger, it could be time Welker hanged up the boots though. So yeah may need a slot guy.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I love that evaluation G and am so glad you are on this site contributing. You are a student of the game and have it broken down better than most do. As for Welker, I think if Manning plays, Welker will. How far we go this year will determine a lot into the decision. And if he suffers any more concussions this year. I could see Manning and Welker back for one more year, dumping Champ, signing DRC, re-upping Beadles and Walton and Decker pricing himself out of Denver. Then in 2015, when we have a shit ton of FAs to sign, Manning and Decker retire together. Hopefully that's with two more rings, but I'd be happy with just one at least. Their retirement parties being held at their old teams after they re-sign with them for a day. I look at it as we are just renting them and really am excited for a couple of years from now for all the defensive guys to come into their own and we can actually stop someone from scoring so much on us again. Do you know we have like the third most points scored on us right now? I think that is because we have one more game played right now though. We're right there with Minn and Jax. We are averaging 27 points given up per week. I hate that. I guess though when teams are playing catch up that much then our pass D looks worse than it is and our run D looks better than it is. Especially with the rules making it a passing league and almost impossible to defend it.

I better post this before I lose it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Haha. Re-reading, that's Welker (not Decker), retiring.

    G
I'm playing you in the playoffs in FF. I am Over the Hillman.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Digger,

I'm pretty sure we drafted Trevathan last year in the 6th round. He was a steal in that draft. He's a tackling machine.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yeah DRC's contract was a 2 year deal, but was essentially a 1 year with that void clause, unless we cut him, and then it would still be a 1 year contract anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks Digger, and yeah I got what you meant :P

And cool. I think it is funny with that fantasy league as I barely do much in it, I have another one I spend way more time on. Plus this was the first year I drafted my whole team ahaha, Jazzy may not have me back :P

Trevathan was another great 6th round pick by us.

I am of the belief DRC and Champ could be back next year (Champ on a new smaller contract). If we win the Superbowl him and Manning will both retire though. I don't see either putting themselves through another season after going through this one.

    ReplyDelete
  58. No shit G? You didn't bench Peterson.

OK, my bad. I thought Trevathan was undrafted. not that it proves any sort of point anyway, because Brad was calling me out about how I said we have to draft defensive players higher instead of starting undrafted guys. He's right, I was off base with that statement. I just really, really, really, really, really want to draft a stud MLB.

    ReplyDelete
  59. New England losing today makes me feel so much better. I think sometimes I forget there are no world beaters out there not even the broncos. Teams lose, we still have a chance to play at home til NYC and so I'm going to try optimism again.

  60. wild KC/Oakland game! It was great watching the NE Cheaters wine and moan at the end of their game about not getting calls. I guess if you are used to getting all the calls it could be upsetting to have a few not called.

  61. Cincy playing for the #2 seed tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  62. We really really really lucked out this weekend. We just need to find a way to beat the scumbags and the Texans to get the #1 seed. I know that it will be cold but I would much rather play in Denver than any where else other than maybe Miami. Such a huge couple of weeks, so Manning will more than likely set some records.

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Digger, yep forgot to check it lols, Hopefully Bush plays and gets me a few points.

And the Pats finally did us a solid.

    Also this is funny.

  65. Ya Gould, some parts of the Post I really do miss and Litton was one of them. Hard to say if he is doing well financially, hope so, but I sure think his stuff is great.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Cincy certainly didn't look like they wanted the #2 seed last night. They looked terrible. Lucky for us though, same with the Pats taking a dive. They may find it tough without Gronk in the lineup the rest of the season. They struggled mightily before he came back and they are in the same situation now.

Would really like to see the Lions show up the rest of the game tonight and take out the Ravens. I don't want them in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hey Digger! I winna! ahaha

Who is Mile High Life, says Bill under it?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Fuckin Ravens. I can't stand them. They are like the damn Patriots. They always find a way to squeak by. They will make the playoffs and we will end up playing them somehow either in the second round or title game. I'm not sure our defense can handle them.

    ReplyDelete
  69. So it looks like Webster is out this week after having surgery on his thumb on Friday. So who the hell plays at CB if Bailey can't go? Harris? Then who plays the NB? I guess Carter or Jammer. Bailey needs to get his ass out there on the field. Guys are dropping like flies on our defense. Doesn't sound like Wolfe is going to play this week either. I would like to see him sit out until the playoffs to get healthy, but we need him in the lineup badly.

    ReplyDelete
  70. So it looks like Keenum is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. It will be interesting to see who they start if he can't go. Sounds like they've had enough of Shaub and his INT's. They are banged up all over the place. We should be able to win, but defensively they can still play. We just can't let them put tons of points on the board against us and we need to get our offense going.

Last week we played Caldwell in the slot and he did ok. He caught some balls, but there were several that I saw that he flat out missed or was out of position. I thought they should have continued to use Tamme like they did the week before against Tennessee, but they decided at the last minute apparently to use Virgil Green more and put Caldwell in the slot. I think it hurt is badly. I am sure it was to give a different look to throw SD off, but it surely didn't work. Tamme is far better than Caldwell, even in the slot. I think it hurt Decker and Thomas, as he rarely threw in their direction. I couldn't see if they were open much with the way the NFL Network cameras showed the field, but I have to think they were open more often than what he threw to them. I think Gase had a pretty poor offensive game plan and Manning and Co. didn't execute very well. A lot of dropped balls, stupid penalties, and poor overall defense. In some ways, I wish NE would have won. I think the guys needed a kick in the ass. I think they are getting complacent and taking winning for granted. A NE win would have jolted them a little bit. They seem to be relieved that NE lost. However, that may still not give them the sense of urgency they need to have going into the post season. If we continue the way we are going, we may be one and done. Especially if we don't get the first round bye.

    ReplyDelete
  71. We signed Jeremy Mincey, released by Jacksonville recently for poor play and violations of team rules.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Photos from Training indicate Bailey may be ready to go. But we could still rest him since they rushed him back last time.

We should be able to handle the Texans do matter who plays QB.

I don't think it mattered who played in the slot, the offense only got to run like 10 plays the whole game since the Chargers were on the field all game.

Del Rio going to the old pool? I wonder what role Mincey will play.

    ReplyDelete
  73. This is way bigger news!

    Broncos waived C J.D. Walton.

The Broncos' starting center in 2010-11, Walton was limited to four games by a broken ankle in 2012. The injury lingered into 2013, where Walton began the year on the reserve/PUP list. He was activated on November 5, but had yet to appear in a game. Walton's release is a vote of confidence in C Manny Ramirez. Walton graded out as Pro Football Focus' worst center in 2011. He'll have to prove he's healthy before someone takes a flier on him for 2014.

Seems ManRam is here to stay.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I was just coming here to post that, Gould! F'n ManRam. Walton must really have been a POS to keep the Man Ram

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yeah his ankle may not be right like Kuper's, though why keep Kuper over Walton? Does that now make him the back up center?

    ReplyDelete
  76. That is huge news!

I guess if they weren't going to get him back from IR or weren't going to bench ManRam for him this year or whatever and weren't going to throw big bucks at him to stay when he's a FA this spring, then you might as well cut him now. What if ManRam gets hurt now before the playoffs?

  78. Brad
You worry about Balt an awful lot. NE plays at Balt this week. I think it's a win/win situation there as long as we win. If NE wins it puts Balt out as a division winner and behind the eight ball form the last wild card. If Balt wins NE can't get #1 seed if we win. The only team with a shot at our #1 seed then would be KC. I hate how they are the same record as us again now. One screw up and we are a wild card and they have the bye and our #1 seed. Maybe Indy can knock them off our backs this week. It's at KC though.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I think Kuper is back up center now.

Digger it was all talent. Hopefully AP can come back and hook me up for the next round!

Can KC overtake us? Even if they finish better than us we hold the better divisonal record.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Or is Steve Vallos back up center?

    ReplyDelete
  81. According to the depth chart on Broncos.com. Vallos is and Walton was third.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Digger,

Yes I do worry about Baltimore a lot. They are one of those teams like the Giants that seem to always get hot at the end of the season, make it into the playoffs and do a lot of damage. They will be gunning for us after the hurting we put on them to start the season.

I was just coming on to post that I was wondering who they were going to cut to make room for Mincey. I didn't see we waived Walton, but I guess it doesn't surprise me. Although I don't know who we would play at Center if something happens to ManRam. I can see why they would do it, since Walton would have been a free agent after this year (I think). Guess that means we will be in the market for at least 1 center after this season since we have no backup and I doubt we bring Koppen back.

  83. Digger,

I would really like to draft a stud MLB as well. I like Woodyard and Trevathan a lot, but we haven't found anyone that can really play the middle spot. Irving certainly hasn't stepped it up.

  84. Looks like the only ILB coming out this year would be CJ Mosley out of Alabama, but I'm not sure we'd have a shot at getting him.

  85. Vallos is the backup C. He must have shown quite a bit of promise.

Yes if we lose one game and KC wins out, they will be #1 seed and we will be a wild card. I see a few possible playoff previews this week. Indy/KC, Phil/Chic, Balt/NE.

Brad, I'm not crazy about Mosley's weight. 235 about. Not exactly the stud I was visioning. I'm not worried about Balt this year. In fact I hope they are who comes to Denver for our first game. I don't see us letting that happen again.

  86. Digger,

I agree Mosley's weight is a little light, probably 15 pounds or so, but I'm sure teams will have him bulk up a little bit in the offseason and camp after he is drafted. That being said, it isn't always great to mess with a guy's weight, especially when his game is based on quickness. Look at Miller for instance. I don't think he is as quick off the ball this year with the little bit of weight he had packed on intentionally. Not saying Mosley's game is based on quickness, I honestly haven't watched him at all.
